Before you order
What can I connect to it?
Lights and fans: the things on your switchboard’s ordinary switches. Each channel runs one switch, so the 4 channel box runs four and the 8 channel box runs eight.
Will my wall switch still work?
Yes. The box is wired as a two-way switch alongside the one on the wall, so either of them turns the light on or off. One thing to know: after the wall switch has been used, the app’s ON/OFF can show the opposite of what the light is doing. A tap in the app still switches it.
Who installs it?
An electrician. The box runs on 230 V mains and is wired into your switchboard, so please don’t do the wiring yourself unless you are qualified. It comes with an install guide, and it hangs on the wall with one screw and wall plug per ear.
How do I control it?
With the Maya Ai app for Android. Its Smart Home dashboard shows every switch with its live state, and you can simply say what you want, like “turn off the bedroom light”.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
Yes. The box joins your home Wi-Fi, and that is how the app reaches it, whether you are at home or away.
Which size do I need?
Count the switches you want on your phone. Up to four: the 4 channel box. Five to eight: the 8 channel box. The 8 channel box is wider (210.6 mm with its ears), so check the space beside your switchboard.
Warranty and returns
Manufacturing faults are covered by a 6 month warranty. As a physical product, Home Box sales are final, with no returns.
